Update to the emergency guidelines section on the BIMDG website

Alex TLC has worked tirelessly with The British Inherited Metabolic Diseases Group (BIMDG), requesting for them to include emergency guidelines for patients with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) who also have adrenal insufficiency (Addison’s disease) in their emergency guidelines section on the BIMDG website.

We have now been successful, and they have added the guidelines. This is great news for you as a patient because you will be able to point doctors to the guidance on their website if you are in crisis or very unwell.

Also, just a little reminder to always carry your steroid card with you and wear your medical alert bracelet or similar.
