The session will empower and encourage you to practice a simple self-care routine to prevent the onset of chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This session will focus on common pain patterns and conditions, it will educate you on your own body, how chronic pain conditions develops, and how your working practices can contribute to it.
You will learn safe self-care techniques to either prevent chronic pain conditions developing or manage existing conditions. You will learn a variety of self-care techniques such as mobilisations, self massage, trigger point and acupressure, stretches and meditation. All sessions will be mostly seated (no lying down) if you do need to stand up, then you will only need to have enough space to stretch your arms out and you should work within your own comfort range. If you are unable to stand then everything is possible seated. If you have better mobility on one side of your body, then you can work with the side that you are comfortable with.
